The ways you can contract this line
Three contracting bases, priced separately. Tell us which one you need and the rate sheet reflects it — no blended figures that fall apart at booking.
Cabin booking
Individual cabins on a scheduled sailing, ideal for FIT and small parties. Quoted per cabin category with the sailing day fixed.
- 2 pax and up
- Confirmed against live availability
- Fastest to turn around
Series allocation
A block of cabins held across a season on fixed departure days, released back on an agreed schedule.
- Seasonal commitment
- Release deadlines stated up front
- Same vessel standard each week
Full charter
The whole vessel on your dates, with the programme, the catering and the branding built around your group.
- Whole-vessel exclusivity
- Programme built to your brief
- Branding throughout
What the rate does and does not carry
Most trade disputes in Egypt start with a disagreement about what a cruise rate included. This is the standard split — anything different is written into your contract explicitly.
Included as standard
- Cabin on the confirmed category and deck
- Full board on the vessel from embarkation to disembarkation
- Onboard programme as operated by the vessel
- Embarkation and disembarkation port handling
- Vista file management and duty-desk cover for the sailing
Quoted separately
- Shore excursions, guiding and entrance fees
- Transfers to and from the vessel
- Domestic flights or rail to Luxor / Aswan
- Drinks, optional onboard services and gratuities
- Abu Simbel extension by road or air
What the categories actually mean
Star ratings on the Nile are not comparable to hotel ratings. This is how we categorise vessels internally, and how the shortlist on your rate sheet is built. Named vessels are proposed per request against live availability.
| Category | What you get | Service style | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Compact cabins, functional public decks, pool | Buffet dining, larger passenger counts | Price-led groups and series |
| Deluxe | Larger cabins, refurbished interiors, sun deck | Buffet with served options, fuller programme | The mainstream 5★ sell |
| Luxury | Suites, boutique vessel, lower passenger count | Served dining, higher crew-to-guest ratio | High-touch FIT and honeymoons |
| Dahabiya | Sailing vessel, very low cabin count | Private, unhurried, moorings ships cannot use | Charter, luxury designers, families |
How a file actually runs
Request
Dates, pax, cabin categories, duration and direction. Flexible dates widen the shortlist considerably.
Shortlist
Two or three vessels per category against live availability, with the release deadline stated for each.
Block
Cabins or the vessel held on your name once terms are confirmed in writing, with the deposit schedule.
Sail
Rooming list, embarkation handling and duty-desk cover for the sailing, then the post-tour report.
When to place the block
| Window | Conditions | Capacity pressure | What we advise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct – Nov | Peak comfort | High | Block early; deluxe and luxury go first |
| Dec – Feb | Cool, bright, busy holidays | Very high on holiday dates | Christmas and New Year need long lead time |
| Mar – Apr | Peak comfort | High | Second peak; Easter behaves like a holiday date |
| May – Sep | Hot, quieter river | Low to moderate | Best availability; build early-morning touring |
Ramadan dates shift each year and change site timings and onboard service patterns — ask the desk before you publish a departure calendar across it.

A dash is a real answer: that discipline is not operated in that region.

Will you name the vessel before we confirm?
Yes — the shortlist on your rate sheet names the vessels proposed for your dates. What we will not do is publish a fixed vessel list on the website, because availability moves weekly and a stale list costs you a sale.
How long is a block held?
The release deadline is stated per vessel on the shortlist, before you commit. We do not hold stock on an open-ended basis and we tell you the date rather than waiting for you to ask.
Are there shop stops or commission stops?
No. There are zero shop stops and zero third-party incentives inside the vehicle. Nothing is added to the day that you did not sell.
