What to know before you build the day
Cairo and Luxor are both operable as same-day excursions from the coast, but only one of them comfortably.
The coast works two ways for the trade: as the resort half of a Nile-and-sea combination, and as a cruise call. Transfers run on Vista’s own fleet, hotel stock is held on allotment, and shore excursions at Safaga and Sokhna are operated in house. Guiding here is quoted on request as half or full days rather than held as a standing desk, and incentive work is on request.
Both Cairo and Luxor are operable as same-day excursions from the coast, but only one of them comfortably. Safaga to Luxor is three to three and a half hours each way — tight for a shore call, and proven. The Cairo equivalent is the one to question before it reaches a brochure.
